Hi I'm 21 years old and looking at coming to WA in November from the uk. Travelling by myself, windsurfing at various spots on the coast and sleeping in my car. Are there many people that do this that I'd end up meeting or does this sound like a bad plan for a very lonely trip!?!?

Nah, you'll have a ripper time.....all the Euro's start to come across, plenty of bikini's, weather great, wind coming in...ideal. Sleeping in your car though....awful ideal......at least get a tent and mix it up with some hostels....how long you over for?

Depends if you are William or Willhemina

anyway yes plenty do it but I second Dman's comments. You will need to factor in camping cost as if you sleep in a vehicle / tent anywhere near civilisation you will get fined. Need to stick to the actual camping areas and pay the $5 a night or whatever.
Camping at Coronation Beach in Geraldton and then a stint at Lancelin Lodge backpackers is a pretty conventional kinda trip and there will be plenty on time on water and fellow watersports travellers.

Car no campervan yes, Assuming you're hiring a car or buying an old bomb, there's not many cars that provide a nice flat bed when the seats are flat, you'll end up with a bad back.

Keep posting about your trip on this forum, and I'm sure you'll find lots of friends.

Hey Will. I'm 21 too, from the small island of Guernsey and will be travelling to WA on my own that time of year to drive up and down the coast wavesailing. I'd probably buy a half decent van and deck it out to make it comfortable to sleep In. Keep us updated on your plans and we may be able to cross paths when you're over?
