I vote shearwater just to be different. QLD people: is the choice that hard?

It's dead south, the train will be gusty as sh!te. Also runout tide, so the choice is easy... shearwater it is!

See yooz all there.

Oh, and the train is gone, there's only a mural of a train on the toilet block now. So to play in the train... draw your own conclusions.

Hey what's with bagging the flat water sailors???
We all started out on flat water so that makes us all fairys???
As you all know i've started speedsailing and i can tell you hitting 30knots is just as much of a rush as taking the drop on a mast and a half bomb , my sailing time has doubled and to add dutchies slop aint wave sailing
I will continue to do both.

probably not the right thread , but is there a mob that regularly sails in saftey bay, as I would like to meet and learn more about this sport, reading is good but watching teaches more. cheers

There's the safety Bay windsurfing club.

The Mandurah Mob has 2 safetybay windsurfers, so when you get confident enough you can join us, I am the captain and am inviting you!!

PS I am considered a wavesailing traitor because I've converted to gps-speedsailing, which is just a perception in people's minds, coz I still love wavesailing in some ways it is the ultimate expression of windsurfing, but just at the moment I'm getting more enjoyment and pleasure and adrenalin fix from speedsailing

stribo next time your out on wave kit strap the gps on. do a few long downwind runs.. be interested to see what kind of speeds you can crank out on the ocean.

its cool to look at your tracks afterwards when u have been catching waves as well.. all the direction changes.

cheers for that, will take you up on that offer when skills are better and confidence is high, work underground week on week off, so everyday at home is now spent watching the wind and fitting in house bitch duties to keep out of strife, lmao

Did that at lano a cupla weeks ago and got close to 26 knots but mad chop.Didn't catch any waves with it on cause i didn't wanna look like a dork Next time i go up i will strap it on for the day. Would be a good googleearth display on how to sail around lano and avoid the reefs.

Stribo, I stuffed my aquapack at coros, if you take it into the surf make sure you squeeze all the excess air from the aquapack before sealing it.
I think my unsuccessful backloop attempt was the cause, under rotated and landed shoulder first, think the impact on pack caused high internal air pressure that split the seam.

Couldn't agree more.

Greeny is a great bloke but he seems to have this allergy to the words, GPS or anything flatwater.
Just the mention of them is like a red rag to a bull, he just goes off!!!
Just ignore him on this sort of thing.
