I am going for family holidays to Shark Bay/ WA over Christmas and looking for some location reviews/ recommendation.
What are the best spots for recreational Windsurfing (freeride) around the area?
What places to avoid?
Must go spots?

just look for the tits near shell beach

There's a couple of lakes near Denham, they don't have any sharks.

good sailing just out the front of denham,only prob is the weed as it even sticks to normal weed fins.
otherwise there is little lagoon just out of denham.
shell beach and the next bay around are good although wind is offshore so make sure your terminal gear is in good nick or stick to the shallower water at the head of the bays.
monkey mia is sailable but you have to pay entry each day unless you stay there.

Ratz - How is sailing at the Little Lagoon? Is the water there very deep?
Also the offshore winds at the Shell Beach is it seasonal or whole year over? Any weeds?

Little lagoon is fine for sailing.

Can be a little gusty, but its a great spot and well worth the drive.

Shell beach is fun also, but the salt water stings your eyes, so make sure you have some sort of eye protecton.
From shell beach head north, 2 to 3 kms its awesome up there!

No weed at shell beach.

The ocean isn't bad adjacent to shell beach as well, sand bank a few hundred metres out, makes the water fairly smooth if the wind isn't nuking.
There's a fairly high hill there, about the only place in the area you'll get mobile reception.

The off shore winds at shell beach are the seasonal seabreezes, they should be good now until autumn.

But unless you are fond of lots of flies and stifling heat don't be there when it troughs out!!!!

You could always try at Nanga Bay Resort. Windy shallow water and accomodation
