Hi WA crew. Always been keen to check out Shark Bay. I'm sure there's been a thousand threads on this before, but I haven't been able to find one with the info I'm interested in. Can you pretty please point me to any relevant old threads? Particularly interested in the best time of year to go? Is it as good as the stories? Is it super flat or just standard chop? Highly recommended as a good flatwater holiday spot or just okay?

Thank you very much!

Shark bay has 4,000 km of coastline, with a variety of conditions from flat to choppy to open ocean and surf. best times are middle of sept to middle of april. Its the windiest place in wa, but even on windiest days you can sail early. Main accommodation is found in Denham. But you have Monkey Mia and Nanga bay station. The rest is bush camping. 4wd, will extend the places you can go. If serious contact me personally and I;ll fill you in on the spots. hardie6210 at yahoo dot com dot au
