The forecast is looking good so get together with your mates for a little pre-Christmas race. Also a good opportunity to train for the Lancelin Ocean Classic (registration opens this week).

For full details and to register head to the WWA web site windsurfingwa.org.au/public/events/491-safety-bay-marathon

No registrations
will be taken on the beach and you MUST be a member of an AWA affiliated club or association i.e. WWA or SBWC.

Don't forget that you need 2 x flares (smoke are best) and a PDF (type 2 or 3) for the marathon. Neil Pryde vests are ok too. This gear is needed for Lancelin Ocean Classic too

Well despite the lack of wind, we had a great day out anyway. Many thanks to WWA and Mark Slade in particular for organising the course, the rescue boat, the registration, and probably a lot more; and the BBQ arranged by the Safety Bay Windsurfing Club was brilliant!

Thanks Shane but I can't take all that credit. As usual there was lots of work behind the scenes.
Thanks to Tim for arranging the permits.
SBWC for the great BBQ feed at the finish and arranging the Volunteer rescue crew.
Thanks also to Duncan, Simon and John with set up and registration etc.
Finally thanks to all the sailors who made the effort to come along despite the poor forecast.
