Hi,

What do you guys think to a H-Bomb 2:2, no heater pads for winter sailing/suping in Perth for someone who is not all that fussed about the cold?

This will be my first winter sailing in Perth, did a bit of SUP'ing last winter, but not really experienced the cold fronts associated with winter sailing. PS, it's $350 brand new.

I reckon it'll be fine but need a second opinion to buy, wife did not give me the encouragement i needed!

Cheers.

Agree with Chad, 2x2 may be OK when you are actively sailing but as soon as you stop for a breather you'll feel it.
I reckon 3x2 is perfect for Perth winter

+1 on the 3x2

Just remember, it is far better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for approval.

My 5 cents get a wetsuit made for windsurfing rather than surfing. The design is quite different. Most of the stretchy material you find in surfing wetsuits gives you great movement but is utterly useless when it comes to keeping you warm once you are out of the water and exposed to the wind.

After having a good read about wetsuits in the general windsurfing forum, i may well have a look at a Flying Objects number.

Ha ha photosbykarlo, Confucious once said "important to have warm body, despite getting cold shoulder"!
