As a heads - up...
We are preparing a Short Course Slalom event at the Pinnaroo Point - Sunday - 20/03/2022.
Reserve dates 26th and 27th of March.

It will be around 3km course, and we could run 3 races (more? less?) in the afternoon followed by a BBQ.
A $20 entry fee to cover for the BBQ, some minor expenses, and the Safety Boat.
Possibly less if we get a lot of interest.. Preparing for the Windsurfers, but the foilers are also invited. We may set a different course for the Foil.

It may become a regular event if we get enough interest.

Patik Dithelm is likely to be the Race Director, so expect to be challenged .
And yes, the Pinnaroo's can be quite choppy, so even more exciting.

Not always the best time of year for winds but I might put my boat in that day & come to watch.
How does an event like that flag the course to keep powerboats & jet skiers out - being that it is a ski area?

True, it may mot be windy. That's why we have two reserve dates the week after.

Don't remember when was the last time anyone skied there. Jet skis are also rarely there these days.

Patrik Diethelm will bring his jet ski to provide the safety.
If you are coming there with your boat Kaibo, maybe you could help with the safety ?
That would be great.

Yeah I reckon can do that ... even in a 25knot Breeze my boat gets out there regularly.

Just got the Navigational Safety permit to have the event there.
