Hi All, Im brand new to your sport, just did a learners course last weekend. Got down to the Peli Point Wednesday night event, just to meet some folks and have a look.
Just wanted to say thanks to Gary, Tom,Justin and the other guys I spoke with (cant remember all the names).
Great bunch of guys with a great attitude. Thanks for making a newcomer feel welcome.

Looking forward to getting better at the sport (so then I can have a giggle at the "New guys")

Thanks everyone. :-)

Hey Frank and Seabreeze

I too started windsurfing a few weeks ago and would also like to say thanks to the people who have helped me at Pelican Point, especially with rigging my sail..... I dont know anyone's name save for Justin who I did a lesson with but the help has been invaluable..... (I've got the big yellow Bic board)

Now I just need help with not getting catapulted everytime I get planing in the harness, being hooked in underwater under the sail really sucks...

Cheers

If you're using a harness already you are doing really well!
Try getting your front foot into a strap soon after hooking in and you will catapult less. See the thread on the general forum for advice on steps to take.
