G'day Mates,

I'm a 34 year old bloke, interested in trying windsurfing again, after doing it once 15 years ago. I don't personally know of any friends who do it. I rang Windforce in Nedlands and they said that they only run classes in Summer.

Does anyone know who I might be able to contact for gear inclusive lessons soon, or would anyone be willing to spend a couple of hours with me for some pay, on the swan perhaps? I can surf, skateboard, wakeboard, snowboard and have sailed as well.

I would go for a rental but I don't have a suitable vehicle, can look into borrowing one temporarily though. On that note, if I wanted to take up windsurfing, does anybody know of some suitable, cheap beater cars for windsurfing runs? I assume it would need a roof rack? That's a significant drawback that makes kitesurfing look attractive.

Cheers!

I have a hail damaged 2008 commodore, cost me peanuts, is supper reliable and comfortable. I can fit 3 boards, 3 booms 5 sails in it a still see out of the windows, even with the spare wheel mounted in the rear compartment because of dual fuel.
The only reason I need roof racks is for my ancient 1 piece masts.

Modern boards are a lot shorter than they used to be! But I guess for a bigish learner board you may need racks.
Sorry I know of nobody that does winter lessons.
