Can you kind folk fill up my shopping trolley?
Early last year I had a few lessons here in Perth. I wanted to hire some equipment over the following weeks, but the weekend I did the lessons was the last weekend the hiring people were at the river

. If I knew this prior, I would've held out to this season.
Anyway, I thought I might look at what it would cost to get some of my own gear. I don't want to spend a lot of money, because to be honest, I wasn't really blown away with what I experienced thus far. I realise you need to do baby steps, but standing there bobbing around with zero wind wasn't fun. On the first day when there was a touch more wind, I could feel the potential.
I am 180cm (if that matters at all) and 95kg. So not a small light fella. Like most, I don't have the luxury of splitting from work when the winds right, so I would prefer something that would get me moving in lightish winds if that was all that was available. I would nearly always be on the river.
What gear and size board would I be looking at?
Cheers.
