So WA has daylight savings? I remember the thread about it last summer. Some people complained that it meant they had to wait another hour before the seabreeze arrived and it interferred with the home routine.
Yeah it sorta does affect the home routine, as in when I have a day off I used to go to beach 1300-1600 and be home in time for cooking / baby stuff .... but now with daylight saving I don't even leave for a sail till 1400 ... maybe 1500 on a suspect/weak day, so the missus was a bit annoyed sometimes.
Flip side is if you finish work at 1700 and the breeze is already dying, and it is a 20min or more drive to the beach, it is not worth going for a sail as sunset is 1900 ish. BUT with daylight saving it is peaking just before you finish work and there is a good 2hrs left when you get to the beach at 1730.
As I said: if you like waves and work at Scabs you will be stoked: in a good year we are talking 3 sails a week after work on 5.3. Schweet
Come up here and it is 4 sails a week on 4.0

Living in Bullcreek is ideal too. maybe a longish drive to work but from hoem it is 15min to beach if in a hurry on your day off, close to freeway for trips to Lano or down south, and for winter if you wanna sail the river in a W or NW, it is 10min if you dawdle. You are within 10min of 3 windsurf shops too. Nice.
