G'day Sandgropers,

I'm thinking of joining my wife in Perth for a conference 23-26 March 2009. Is that too late in the season to get any breezes?
Or rather, where would be best to get a sail??
I've done Lancelin in mid-February once and that was ok (well, i got a sail), and have twice spent the better part of a month at Geraldton/Corro in Jan and it was insane, but is March pushing it??? Happy to travel as far north as Gero and far south as, say, Margarets (have an 18month old in tow...

It is late in the season just depends on luck really, I've done gero middle of april in easter and sailed with a 4.7m 4 days straight?? It's a big state go north or south depending on the forecast.

How about June in Geraldton? I know it is completely the wrong time of year but do I take a wetsuit, fishing rod or a lot of books?

If your keen you can sail Gero almost 12 months of the year with the right gear. May would be the least consistent month for wind, june can go either way often the start of the "real" cold fronts.

March can still be a lot of fun.
