Hi WA sailors just wondering if anyone can tell me of any windsurfing options around Kalbarri. We are travelling from SA and are here till tuesday. Sunday forecast is for 22knts southerly with 2.5m swell. Looking for somewhere that would be sailable with this forecast?
Any suggestions welcomed.
Thanks in advance Alan

Flat water is the Kalbarri river/inlet, not sure about any wave sailing there, closest waves would be Coronaion beach Gero, about an hour south

Depends what you are after....not sure on direction but little lagoon is a nice place.....flat as you like, but a nice place none the less.....just watch out for stone fish....if not, there is heaps of coast line, just watch for heavy shore dump.....i'd go Coro, about 1.5 hours south......can't really go wrong at coro

pretty sure Kalbarri has a sick wave spot called jakes point, a million times better than coros, but can be a bit gnarly.

try to be considerate of the surfers, they get scared easily, haha. but seriously try not to run anyone over, and only go out there if you know what your doing.

read that article, it has really good info

I wondered whether jake's was sailable, way out of my league, good article, suggests expert wave sailors only

Thanks for the info have been watching jakes. Big swell here at the moment a bit like a washing machine. Thanks for the article Curac was talking to local who said people do sail jakes when swell is down a bit more. Hopefully get a sail at Corro on the way down the coast.
Cheers Alan
