Nothing to see here, it'll be rainy onshore slop.

Might be ugly but no one storm chasing in the mid-west?

Unfortunately the only spots that are a half decent angle in Gero never really get over shoulder high and everything else is a sloppy mess. The best sailing I've found in winter here is the Northerlies at South coros, nne is best when it's cross off starboard tack with up to 4 good hits off the top but it never blows for long.
I've only been here 3 winters but so far nothing worth getting excited about with the fronts.

Agreed
when I lived there I did corro on a westerly once but the runs are too short and boring

St George's can be ok but if the wind drops at either end of your run you drift onto that ankle deep reef and you then choose to tear up your board, your wettie or your feet when exiting the water

That's a bugger, would have thought there'd be somewhere for a quick fix.

Had a quick sail at Dutchies yesterday. Rained, squalled, gusty and swinging WSW-SW. Small board, 4.5 and cold winter lumps rolling in with dark clouds steam rolling overhead. Went home finished some painting, went over to the oval to watch Sth Feo Bulldogs make the WAFL final and then off to the Federal to witness the Dockers get robbed at the finish line.

What a beautiful day.
