Hey Fellow Formula sailors. I have approached the KBSC and they are happy or host us for three saturday afternoon races (two races per day) during their 2013/2014 season. This is in addtion to sailing in the March regatta.

Here is our chance. All we have to do it agree on three dates. I'm thinking one in early Dec and then late Jan and then Feb.

Koombana bay is a great location to sail/race. A small nomination fee is all that is required along with a life jacket. The facilitied are great and the bar stays open late on Saturday nights.

I will be in if I am in town. Be great to get some racing in before the Oceanics ( 8th to 12th Jan ??)
Obviously they are happy to have us back after we let them win on handicap last time ;)
Dec Jan Feb seems like a good split. ( Assuming nothing clashes with the WWA calender)

As reg's cervanties weekend is the first weekend in Dec. lets make the first saturday of racing Saturday 30th November. Come on guys we will get to do at least two races in the arvo. we need three to have our own class otherwise I will be racing the Nacra's.

no probs. will try to arrange to leave my gear with ben.
have a board, 10 and 11 meter severne ssr with mast to suit and boom.
will prob need to bring mast base and extension as will be taking mine to shark bay with me.

Can't do the 30 November Ben, missus is skiving off to Melbourne to smash the credit card that weekend, but keen for the Jan & Feb missions.

if you can lay your hands on a severne 490 mast i have a 9.2 reflex as well just in case the wind is up a bit.

Will be keen if I'm back and with my new 9.6 reflex 5 and isonic 130

Ratz has dropped off to me his formula kit for anyone to use.
It comes with 10&11m sails, boom, mast, mast exstension and a fanatic board. i have fin you can use.

Update. The forecast is looking great for saturday(Glad i've got a 9.2m). I have finalised things with the race comittee.

Will be starting after the Nacra's and sailing the same course as them (triangle sausage triangle) . 2pm start.Registratoins open at 12noon. I will be there about then.

Life jackets must be worn. The NP ones we all wear are accepted. Course sheets will be availible on the day.

Just noticed that someone in WA is selling a FW board (*161) for $150. Nice board, would be great if someone keen to race snapped it up...

fyi the Formula Nationals are in Sydney 9-12Jan (same as Ledge race!!!!)...anyway please yell out if anyone keen to come...I will help out as much as possible....

I can loan some sails/ mast and boom combo's if you dont have any race gear. There will be a rescue boat so its safe and Great fun.
