Thanks to the two guys who helped out my brother after he got nailed in the bottom of his foot yesterday at Dutchies by a Cobbler. (3 feet from water edge washing gear on the way out of the water heading home for my 40th B'Day party that he had flown in from Sydney for, but hey, that is another story).

Long story short he ended up in Freo hospital on morphine and bunch of other goodies till 11 pm last night. To give you an idea on the pain scale these stings are he has several water blisters on his foot as he couldnt tell the difference in temp of hot water v's pain from the sting.

Cheers to Freo hospital staff, couldnt have been more professional and helpful.

in the future, drop into a chemist

Get yourself a wheat heat pack which you can microwave, it's a lot more portable and less likely to burn you than a bucket of boiling water.

Also you can get from chemists, air activated heat packs (small ones are best) which you can stick to your foot and wear work boots over, the heat is sufficient to alleviate most of the pain.

I am thinking that we could go fishing red neck style and blow a stick of gellinite in the shallows prior to entering the water, that should be quick way to sort em out. Actually thinking about it I may may hang a couple of sticks off my harness to have on stand bye should I happen to chance on one of our larger toothy friends that appear to be frequenting our waters at present....
