So heading down to Margaret River way for brother in laws wedding and taking the rest of the week off next week. Any recommendations on where to sail, ideally some waves but nothing too mental, fairly competent getting more into wave sailing but hardcore shallow reef breaks probably not ideal ;)... I'll have the van so anywhere from M.River down to Augusta...

Nearly all reef breaks down here ,the wave breaks to more of a patten which if your new to waves allows you to stay on the hard shoulder ,margs and prevally should be working this week , yallingup has more rocks but a softer wave and never sail there after 4.30 .

in a solid south-easter, half way down deep-dene beach offers some fun cross shore beach break waves. nothing too big but better than the alternatives. you need a good sand loving 4wd to access it though, and watch for the high tide. pretty much the only cross shore on offer in that wind direction around there - boranup goes too offshore and gusty; augusta is dead onshore and everywhere else is just open water deep sea blasting (but which does offer a few giggles when going around the lighthouse in a good swell...)

Wind swings offshore and a large wind shadow covers the break at yalls that results in a big swim in thats why zed
