I am just wondering if there are any good slalom spots in WA/Perth that I am unaware of I am at lucky bay most of the time when its windy and when its light I am foiling off Fremantle.

guess that depends on what you mean by slalom?
If you are a racer, you need to sail well in chop, so is that what you're looking for?
If in fact you want to get out of the chop, the water at Mandurah can be flatter. But not so good this year as there's not so much weed.
But the flatter spots are shallow and there's still weed around, so pointer fins are far from ideal

Locally Safety Bay is an awesome spot to fang around on race gear.

The hidden Gem is Coogee Surf Club. Clean ocean winds, and range of water states from dead flat woodies speed runs to building wind chop the further north you go. This is where a lot of the kite racers launch from. Just missing the rolling swell lines of Port beach, but on the positive no shore beach issues.
Just have to watch the fishing lines from the guys fishing off the jetty, and stay away from the dive wreck / exclusion zone right up near the northern rock wall. Otherwise the whole bay is your play ground.

It usually is but if there is swell and it's from the right angle it can be tricky. Rule of thumb; if people are surfing, there might be waves

Besides the beautiful aquamarine water, the thing that makes Port Beach such a great spot is that the swells seem to line up into big long troughs a lot more than at other spots along the coast. My best guess is that it's because the sea floor is very flat there. It means you can still go pretty quick even though you're out in 1-2 metre swells. A few guys have done 30 knot nautical miles, which is not what you'd call hanging around when in open water.

Cool! good to know, which carpark is the best for rigging? I guess the one just right hand side of the caf??

Busselton during summer sea breeze. Log runs no congestion but off shore wind. Australind on winter westerlies is great. Long runs and a variety of water conditions. Pointers ok as water is deeper. WeedSpeeds fine too.

I was down in Busselton this summer and the water was crystal clear and flat as well really nice place to sail. I was also there on the long weekend foiling and it was just amazing but the only problem I have is that its quite far away from me in Perth.
