Im heading over for a week in August -is there much wind around the Perth area at this time of the year?

there is wind but usually only as weather fronts come through.
and are a bit gusty.
can be a bit hit and miss...

Over the years, I've had some of the best surfing conditions in August, big swell all day glass offs!

But as Ratz says, the odd storm still comes through, whether it happens on the week that you're here is anybody's guess.

is december the best time of year for wind. me and my bro are coming over to wavesail. and we wanna make sure were coming at the right timeof year

yep dec/jan are the go and head north....

I rate August the best month of the year in Perth for good strong winds!

be prepared for 30+ knots 3-4 times a week
