Aloha everybody !!

i'm coming to Perth at the beginning of November, for about 15 days.
i travel alone, from New Caledonia (french island), my english is quite poor and i don't have many money... i want to come to your country because it seems that you have good waves and strong wind, and maybe cute girls... ;-)
well, i would like to meet some local people to share some good windsurfing sessions, maybe share a van and/or flat, and above all to make me discover the spots. My level is like "intermediate". I want to improve my level in waves. Lancelin, Geraldton, Margaret River seem to be high level spots.
So i would really appreciate to discuss with you local boys !! and meet you when i'll be on the place !!
In return, if the feeling is good, I would be glad to host you on my amazingly beautiful island.

Welcome to Perth! You'll find plenty of windsurfers over here and everyone is pretty friendly. Your best bet is to be prepared to do some big kms in order to get the most out of your stay. If the forecast looks good I'd suggest heading to Coronation Beach (Geraldton) and staying there (you can camp at the beach - there's a campground right there). If the forecast is in it's probably the perfect place for someone with your ability to spend 15 days.

Lancelin is also a great place and there's a great backpackers place to stay: www.lancelinlodge.com.au/ - I haven't stayed there for a few years, but it's high quality and of course populated by cool people.

In Perth you'll meet loads of local sailors if the seabreeze is in. Pelican Point and Lucky Bay on the river can get pretty busy (in a good way) once it's over 18 knots from the SW.

The guy has no money so Lano backpackers is out and Corros I think you have have 30 day stay (over a year) and $10/day, but don't quote me.

I think you'll have to have a few bucks on you as there are not too many places you can stay that are within legging distance with your gear for a sail.

Good luck with finding a host and enjoy your holiday, hopefully the wind and waves are going their bit, otherwise you should have been here yesterday
