Have been thinking about it but really have too much of the dreaded W four letter work to gamble it on marginal wind

i cruised down to mettams today. i rekon a bit of chugging on a 5.7 and a big wave board would have netted some nice rides.
some sweet waves coming through, the wind was NW ish but the reef was braking so wide and so nicely especially in the big sets would have been worth it.
there were a couple of longboarders out at the southern end of the reef, but it seemed like such a shame to watch all those good sets go un-shredded.
I had to leave coz it was making me down :(

I found an easterly spot but it is a 70km drive so that means out of bed pretty damn early. Our local inland lake has finally filled up so I can sail any direction if strong enough...... I may do an early one Thurs, supposed to be 25kn right up till 1100 ........ we'll see

Hopefully the forecast will hold true for wedneysday and thursday. I am going windsurfing both days.

Maybe Safety Bay (it is just a long drive from the northern suburbs, so any suggestions for spots in the northern part of Perth that work in easterly wind? Except from the river, I think I am more into sailing in the ocean ...).
