well.... my guess is any professional photographers gave up a long time ago going to these things because littly Jonny with his wizz bang digital camera "could take pictures just as good"... so what's the value in a professional.

Just a bummer little Jonny's camera either broke just the day before or maybe couldn't be bothered to take photos that day because he rather went out for a sail himself.

the same could be said almost every other Windsurfing event in this country... from some events you don't even get an event report until several months later... and people wonder why the numbers at wave sailing comps are getting less and less every year.

The report from NSWWA Heat 5 from Shoalhaven Heads is up at www.nswavesailing.org

Yeah it does take a while to write them and then get proof read so that all the results and names are correct (My apologies to Rob Graham who I called someone else), appropriate sponsors are thanked etc. So they pass back and forth through email quite a bit before a final "product" is agreed on and posted by the webmaster.

Personally I quite enjoy a detailed report as it makes a good read - especially to find out the exact nature of the conditions, what gear people were on and any other talking point - such as certain members of a UK pro team chasing underage back packers at the Gerroa Fishos at the last NSWWA comp!

Check it out and have a read
PS yes I did write it and I do enjoy passing on the story

Maybe if all the overweight photogaraphers put down the doughnuts for a minute and picked up a camera we could have some good shots again, and get the numbers back up[}:)]

Easy there Dan "Anorexia" Berry...

... given that 99% of the time there are about 5 knts of wind at NSW comps and we all know that the only person with the weight of a little child is you it simply got boring to take yet another photo of you riding a wave or doing a back loop.

At the last comp I was on a 4.2, most of the other were on 4.7. I even saw your supersized belly planing ( in between doughnut sessions in the car park). All I'm saying is be part of the solution my friend.
