interesting design.
I think Jaeger is the only person who'll be able to surf it like that though

OES 6 11 HR quad. more traditional nose but back foot right on tail combined with fast bottom line, good width (&vol-83l) and single concave forward
it allows real world (ie big) guys great speed down the line, the single concave locks the rail into a driving turn (no bouncing/spinning out) plus smashes it off the top with driving or slamming turns easily controllable with your back foot right over the fins and tail.
culmination of couple years of development, half doz + protos. Same concept works in high volume boards or can go smaller too; we reckon and feedback from other riders is it gets your average/good rider charging a lot harder down the line with a lot more control.
dont listen to my snot tho, i might be on crack; try one

Interesting Maris - can you disclose tail width?

My latest creation - very similar to a Black Box concept BUT I do NOT lay claim to the shape it is Mike from Riders Custom, I just did inserts and glassed it. Well, bit of me in the rails.
230 x 66 (49 tail ) and that back strap right over the fins also

Well let's just say it has the 'formula' for the larger gentleman to be sailing when wind is light but the waves are on

happy to disclose tail width except i got NFI what it is (& boards down coast, cant measure)

can say my usual tails (pre chop boards) around 13-13.25 in. These boards are so different they blow "normal"dimensions out of the water.
The only way we could measure/compare without exploding Rossys brain and without losing 20 years of stored knowledge re specs was to use his "standard" measurements- then chop 5 inches off the tail, which is literally what we do. nose also 4 in shorter

doesnt help that shapers seem to use a hybrid of metric and imperial- our tail widths, sometimes lengths are inches, widths are always metric
WTF???- u see why i got no idea of the width. ive got a headache just from thinking about it.

Tail width should be measured in the middle of the back strap. Much more relevant than 30cm from tail.

Watching that video - the nose rarely touched the water surface. His weighting was kept over the tail of the board, forcing the nose to sit up.
So really, this elaborate nose job, has not contributed to his exciting performance - except for perhaps boosting his shred-attack attitude.
My son and his mates have also done some interesting things to give their surfboards a fresh bit of life after the nose has been broken off.
Anything is worth a reasonable bash in persuit of the next big idea.

back in 2000 when being a poor student i snapped about 10inch of the nose off my 75l JP strapper waveboard . couldn't afford to fix the nose properly so just sawed straight across and glassed it up. Never notice any difference to sailing the board even when point straight down a wave, tacking or doing nose landings. reckoned it was me just being indifferent at the time but maybe pointy curved up noses are just nice visual things rather than a wave requirement as long as you have a decent rocker line.
would make it easy to pack in the ute tray with those squared ends.

good question re how fatties ride
sometimes in chop my guts wobbles up and smacks me in the face or my tits sag over my harness.
but at least my beer gut keeps my frank and beans warm (if i could find em, havent seen em for a while)
there are even fatter fatties than me though- ask them

re 115 oes- cant go wrong mate , great board

Here's my new quad from OES, 225cm X 72cm X 127L....Good for the big fellas or light wind wave sailing. I'll review as soon as I get it wet, I've already got an OES 115 and it's my go to board for most conditions (I'm 95kgs).
