What are the benefits of these polester fins that come with my new starboard quad.l thought G.10 composite fins would be the go.

one benefit is that you get to go shopping for some g10 fins

K4 for a the best after markets going around and they are made of recycle wheelie bins.

cheap too...

Nothing wrong with polyester wave fins performance-wise.

Polyester / glass - still damn good, we didn't know any different for 20yrs plus..... but can be a little more flexy so may not suit bigger guys

K4 is just too flexy I reckon.

That's my concern being a fuller built guy (110 k.g.).I think l need a more stiffer fin not so much the side fins as l mainly sail in port tack conditons with a fuller sail l have tried the fins supplied & finding they are way to flexy .

Bigger fins that are flexy, will give you the same result as a stiffer fin at the same original size, but the ride will be better.
You like to squirt out of a bottom turn with more acceleration?
A fin with some flex will help do that for you.

4 plastic fins are sooo much lighter than 4 g10 fins . Almost half a kg on bigger sizes .. I found the lighter tail noticeable on the water .. but the drive does lack a bit I agree

Tryed some (ezzy) asymmetric side fins 17c.m front 13cm. Back the conditions were mushey but they dont tend to flex as much as the stock k 4. Fins better drive & higher ride which l prefer. Guess plastic aren't bad afterall just need aftermarket fins.

The Rockets are a lot stiffer and a bit thicker+ more upright offering a lot more lift.
In medium/side-on conditions I use them as back and fronts, when its sideshore to side-off I prefer the Ezzy Asy 2 degree in the front and stubby,s in the backbut those conditions unfortunate are pretty rare over here.
If you are a big guy, these one are imo the way to go.
