looking for best value cabon wave boom , ive had a maui carbon wave not impressed broken after 16 months any suggestions what to get thanks.

Broke my last two booms which were in carbon; just switched back to alloy.
Alloy booms rarely breack (even though they can bend a bit..) and now have 26mm diameters and are pretty stiff. Maybe not as good as carbon, but for the price of one carbon boom you get 3 good alloy booms.. good for 10 years of sailing. I d rather spend more money on the mast than on the boom..

stiff, light and solid. made in the states not China. you wont be dissapointed

Hey mate,

Maui Sails 140-200 wave carbon boom, super stiff, small diameter, front handle replaceable if necessary, I got pawned so many time with it and it still alive, I just bought a second one 2 weeks ago, around $990 with windsurfing shed.

I've heard lots of good things about the Maui Sails boom and I'm also coveting a Severne enigma boom. Once you go black carbon, you never go back

Severne enigma is good looking piece of kit. Well worth cheking out.

Picked up a 2nd hand Maui carbon 140-200 wave boom for $400 last year and have taken it to hell & back ...... totally recommend one
