I got to watch it twice on saturday night at the party, very impressed, excellent movie and a massive well done to Matti Holder for the monster effort it takes to film and edit that sort of movie..

The sailing is excellent, shows off how much Oz wavesailors do rip...

Not going to give a review because there was too much to take in, just go out and buy it you won't be dissapointed..and then he can make another one...

Thanks for the kind comments Jase,

An Aussie (mostly) windsurfing movie was definitely long overdue !

yes there was a lot of work that went into its production - but also a hell of a lot of good times and fun with all the the Wizards involved.

Definitely already looking forward to making Wizards II

Hi Guys,

thanks for your interest - and Firie - thanks for your order - you should get it soon.

Yes - the DVD is available direct from the reflex films website

However,

I would actually prefer to have it easily available through at least 1 shop in every major city but i cant force shops to order it in... but I really appreciate those that already have.

(Please be aware that the crew in Melbourne are waiting for the big screen Premiere on the 28th of May - which i reckon is worth the wait as it should look pretty good on the big screen ! )

Yep, big thumbs up Matt

Great effort. Many nights in the editing suite there.
Not just for the wave heads, but speed merchants too.

Thanks Matt, quick delivery mate.

It's an enjoyable DVD, well filmed and edited. Even has some speed sailing for us GPS'ers and an interview with Mr Lockwood

I enjoyed Ty Bodycoat's section the most. Interesting to hear his thoughts on the PWA.

Thanks for the positive comments guys

- there are a few small sound and encoding from HD to SD issues i wasnt completely happy with. But it would seem that i notice them more than most..

Sales are going well world wide - one of my aims is to get the perception of aussie windsurfing back where it was in the 90s.

interestingly a few of the hi volume DVD distributors are describing a downturn in general DVD sales numbers- the web 2.0 (facebook, twitter etc) , blue ray confusion and unofficial internet downloads are cited as a few of the main reasons for this.

my take on this - If you are going to watch a windsurfing movie (or any sports flick) the last place you want to do it is on your computer screen
- get it on the big plasma / lcd - sit back and enjoy a beer with some crew while you watch it!

I enjoyed the Vid thanks Matt,
no wind for months now on the east coast so good to keep me motivated as the temperature starts to drop.
How long did that sail take to make that Ben S was doing in actual time(not time lapsed)?

Ben typically takes around 6 hours to build a prototype sail.

Its pretty interesting watching all the muscles he has developed in his hands from years of sail building

- its like watching a spider on steroids go to work!

all excited when I got my copy in the mail yesterday...

I am all for supporting Australian content, and was wrapped with the movie. Great footage, fantastic locations..(mostly in WA)

They truly are wizards at what they do, every single sailor in this movie was awesome.

Only criticism. Seemed a to be an underlying push for Starboard & Severne equipment.

Lets mixed it up on take two. Give me some footage of us amateurs in remote locations all around this big country of ours.

I didn't notice, I just enjoyed the video. Thinking about it though, I suppose a guy designing sails here in Oz with his name on his product would be a Wizard of Oz And na I've never owed or used a Severne.

I think "push" is a bit hard.
Matt works with Ben Severne and the *board crew testing protos etc. He hangs with them and goes sailing with them.
Hence, when the camera comes out, who's brands are you most likely to see?
Remember that these guy's also have some good speedsters in Oz, but Matt interviewed Slowie, now on NeilPryde/JP.
Right place, right time I reckon.
