I don't know if anyone downloaded and played Windsurfing 2007, but I got an email this morning saying that they have released a new Wavesailing MMX version.

2007 was good fun to play (if you have time) and especially if you happen to be injured from last season

I enjoyed Windsurfing 2007 version a lot. It gives people with no windsurfing experience the feeling they are really high wind slalom racing. They also have freestyle, but I never worked out all the jumps.

Download here and give the wave-sailing version a go.

The original Windsurfing 2007 game is also free to download, links are on the page

nice game... but I think the controls need more work. at the moment I would say they are frustrating at best...

When i'm on the beach, I can't figure out how to remove the fin cover before launching.

Anyone?

WS2007 payed/played... nice idea, had some fun on wind-less days, was worth the $$$

... but some things were just broken, ie:
- speed sailing never really worked as you would expect
- no variation in in sail sizing that had any measurable effect on the game
- never got the network-play to work
- and the setup screens just only vaguely usable.

One useful feature would have been to be able to run a local-net game... during some of these wind-less events, it would have been good to hook up a few machines.
