Looks like the only promising day in the weekly forecast.

Got tomorrow off, so probably going to wait until midday to see where it's blowing.

Anyone else getting out, and where?

Opps just realised I meant to put this in the vic forum.

Still I'll have to get down there sometime. I'll head down when Zak goes sometime.

Out of interest though, where do you sail off and which directions are best?

for cat bay the best wind is s-sw. you need an incoming tide which covers up all the rocks/reef and helps bring the swell in. looks like it should be pretty big tomorrow so thats not going to be an issue

Yeah actually ended up going and meeting Al with a friend. Great place! Could have done with a few knots more but I can certainly see the potential. Gave me a chance to begin work on my very amateur wave riding. Practice makes perfect.

Sailed the other side of the bay for 2 hours on Thursday. It was not the size forecast and a bit onshore but a least I got out while I was meant to be working. Need to buy a tripod as the camera fell over after 1/2 hour but any longer from that distance would bore the crap out of anyone.

Great Vid. Got some nice runs by the look. You would be paranoid if you saw someone approaching the camera.
