Any Wavesailors in Tasmania who can help with Red Bull Storm Chase this year please let me know. I have 3 Wavesailors from Launie - Felix, Mitch, Lachlan - we need another 5 people. I would prefer people with Wavesailing experience if possible.

Your Time must be flexible during the waiting period.

Looks like the skippers meeting has just finished and the heats have been set:

0945 first riders to be dragged out by jet ski with the comp due to start at 1000.
Fingers crossed there is some form of live feed... maps look crazy for wind and swell !!!!

I'm disappointed to hear Victor failed to get out, I hope he gets another shot...I like his style.

Good luck to all the "Storm chasers"

bring that on izaak!

you're so lucky to get that amount of wind, those sized waves and the windsurfers you had all bundled up with sunny blue skies.

They had plenty of footage of it in the last few news updates on ABC tonight, but it obviously wasn't edited by a windsurfer as the footage is pointless crap.
Apart from a backie, every other shot is of sailors on flat water in between waves.
Pity. If ever there was a chance to show extreme wave sailing, that was it.

Yes very crap footage by them!! Most of that, was them riding the small waves in no wind, back to the beach! They didn't want to venture out, to where the best viewing was!

Looks like a fun afternoon sailing... NOT!

How big is the white water at 1:42? You wouldn't want to go out in that without knowing there is a jetski right near you if you need it.
