Forecast looks good, glad I didn't get the call up, my worst nightmare. Maybe use this thread to post any pics, videos from this epic event that pop up around the place. Go Jaeger.

Given the lack of updates on the Red Bull Storm Chase 2019 web sites / Facebook page I thought I'd save everyone some time and provide a direct link to the Day 1 and Day 2 Newsreels here.

I don't think many of the sailors were complaining about the wave size at this event - it was more the fact that the wind was blowing fifty knots and that a 3.0 rig felt too big.
And the thing for me was the windchill and cold - even hoods and gloves can't prepare you for getting rinsed in air temperatures less than 5 degrees C. How can the body function? This is the opposite from sailing in boardies at Hookipa.
As a Euro, I'm shocked and amazed that Jaeger won - he's not the heaviest sailor, but this was also the first time he'd seen snow.
You Aussies need to look after that guy because he's in danger of becoming a bit of a legend.

Did you see the summary video?

Paddy would have been looking out the top floor window of his house with a glass of Jameson's to ward off the chill and wondering "What the fek are those lunatics doing out in weather like this?"
