I also wonder if who ever designed the brochure skipped every single typography class at Uni. At the very least someone should tell them their keyboard is stuck in caps lock.

That copy is hilarious - fave bits are "CAPITAL T" (when it's all written in capitals) and "the Pyramid board loves hollow barrels" ... Can't wait to see the photoshoot of them all pulling in to those barrells

cant see Fernandez or voget using anything other than Fanatic?
koster = starboard, surely
Stone = SSD for sure
campello = patrik id guess (wouldnt it be odd for him to sign to them and then use a quatro dressed up)
Brawzinho - ok - i guess he is a goya / quatro guy

Yes Northy, the "industry's open secret" IS that all those guys actually ride Keith's boards. What's with the Quatro hate around here? I've seen each of those riders + JP himself, Keali, Boujma, all personally pickup their newly painted boards from the Quatro/Goya Haiku shop. The boards are great, albeit I found the Pyramid absolutely useless for conditions I would find in Sydney. The Cube is an amazing board, so I bought it. Sheez... anyone actually ever ridden one?

As for marketing... what about the brands, who advertise their boards, for their riders who really ride KT?

wow - im surprised by that. my guess would have been on maui - its a fast big wave and pretty unique - many / most of the riders would go to quatro but i wouldnt expect them to be riding quatro customs for pozo or sylt or kiltmoller....but ive no insight. i thought fanatic made a thing of everyone riding prod gear? i could be wrong. i rode the LS and KT boards and Tempo - all good.

Yeah, I guess maybe just a Maui thing. Anyway, their claim holds true in that regard. Who knows what they ride elsewhere. Still great boards, production or custom. Looks like stripes are back in fashion this year. Surely an easier repair at least.

I dont understand "Quatro hate" who, when, where, what?

OK... not a Quatro, but I've got a Goya 104 Quad. It is a rebadged Quatro (from what i understand) it is a fabulous board. That said i also have a 93 Fanatic quad (2011) which is a fabulous board. the fanatic turns better on steeper waves, but is a smaller board, so that is to be expected. The Goya has a heap of drive in the turn that makes slower waves plenty of fun. The Goya also 'free-rides' better, but again a bigger board will do so (I realise both boards are not designed for that type of sailing, but you sail when and where you can.) So at my level of sailing any of the brands will likely be good as long as you choose the right style of board for your sailing. That said if KT wants to give me a board I will say 'yes'.

If one wants the latest and greatest, i guess get a custom shaped KT.
Their production boards are about 2 years behind the customs - due to the time it takes to finalise a design, test, graphics, get moulds made in asia etc and pump them out for the masses.
