I read your details and must admit that I too was once tempted by the dark side but after a day like that surely you can see you must fight the lure.

Yes I know what you mean. One must resist the dark side at all costs. After the good conditions at Shoalhaven, with some decent strength consistent wind, there is no need for wind powered devices on the end of strings.

hm... that 5.4 Neil Pryde Alpha in the background of some shots looks mighty familiar ;-)

I think it's funny how spoilt we really are here in Sydney. I remember when I used to live in Europe (Souther Germany) we would drive to Sylt for the weekend to get some waves... an easy 1400 km round trip.

Most people in Sydney don't think there is enough wind and the ocean is flat during summer... yet an easy 1 1/2 hrs south you will find what some have coined "Green Canaria"... aka Seven Mile Beach.

Yes, Gerroa and Shoalhaven Heads is not Hawaii or Gnaraloo but given what options many other people in places like Europe have I say it's bloody great.

As I said I think we are just spoilt...

I will write up a report this week. I will just change some of the names to protect the guilty for those who shamed themselves at the Fisho's celebrating on the Saturday night.

Thanks Donk,
Yes, it was an excellent weekend, now I've got lots of time for online windsurfing as my foot has swollen, much like a Hobbit's foot, no broken bones says the x-ray but will have to wait and see if any ligament damage..

Flat landing, downwind forwards are now a big No-No..!

Took 3 photo's from Sat night but fortunately they're all too blurry to see the action !

Any Tassie Nationals photo's?
