From maps it looks like ENE would work well? How windy was it?

Roj, I don't think Pelican is as good in an ENE as you miss the offshore effect. Soldier's, the beach just
north is easy to launch from and southerly swell comes straight in although you can pis$ off the surfers
as they flock there in the NE.

It tends to be more ENE towards Newie & Nobby's seems to attract most sailors - and kites!

Jimmy is the local expert & there have been previous posts by him & others on the Central Coast spots but
as a Queenslander I'm not sure how often you would be on the CC.

Pellos in no good in ENE as it becomes bumpy and to cross on. Forrestors beach is much better in this direction.
