When I went up to geraldton a few weeks back, seabreeze graphs where reading 3m, when BOM was saying 1.5m... I think they err on the optimistic side.

Yeha it has got me stufffed.... BOM saying getting up to 2m late arvo on Sat, seabreeze says 3.3 getting up to 3.8. Hmmmmm

As we have about 0.75 - 1m at the mo' I reckon I know who is right.

You dudes confusing swell with waves.

Seabreeze seems to add swell plus seas for the graphical representation of wave height.

Intrestingly enough ,the swell did surge on Saturday arvo to 2.5 to 3m and the time between the sets was on the money ,Sunset started to fire ,by the end of the daythere was pleanty of consitasnt wind, , before that there was patchy holes , but still heaps enough to wack it all day.

And the word on the street was it was good to see some swell again.

Ok a surge did hit the coast. Give or take a few meters here and there .............On sunday the swell died a fast death but the seas were up as was a the strong wind .

Went to lano on sat, great waves... no wind - bloody BOM and seabreeze forecasted 20-30kn. It really annoys me how they overforecast on holidays/weekends.
