Moulay is such a sick place to sail. It regularly grts 30 knot summer breezes from march to september. Thats insane though. Biggest ive sailed it was mast high... and even then to race the section of the reef was sketchy. Bouj rips there better than anyone. And souf isnt far behind either

I found that even gybing in front of one of these monsters is gutsy!!

but I understand that turning around and running for your life suddenly sounds like the best option

What happened at 4:50! Gybed, almost took the drop but that was doom, backed off over the back never to be seen again...set behind looked like world ending spec haha

That's exactly what I thought. The next two waves surely would have wiped him out.

I actually remember sailing at Newport with Matt a couple of years ago. He got wiped out by a massive set in the middle of the beach. The set looked very similar to the waves at the beginning albeit not as brown. It looked scary just watching him swim after his gear.
