Taking the fambo to Maui for the 2017 Aloha Classic, and after some suggestions/recommendations for accommodation on Maui. Thinking a house for a couple weeks?

Cheers,

www.maui.cc/HaleOla.html

on a budget (i took the family here a couple of years ago) - Ray's friendly beach. In between Hale Ola and Coconut cove.

Would have loved to stay at Coconut cove, you need to book well in advance

Can't go past Sprecks Beach Estate. Perfect location right on the water at Sprecklesville and only 10 minutes from Ho'okipa.
Beautiful grounds, comfortable accommodation, racks for sails - you don't have to derig, friendly and helpful host, lots of other wind surfers. Get onto them through Matt Pritchard.

How intrusive is the aircraft noise from the airport for the Spreaksville accommodation?

The farther east you stay, the quieter it is, but the noise is "supposed " to stop after 11 PM, but it doesn't always happen (flight delays).
All the houses on Stable Rd. are the noisiest, getting more east into Sprec,s proper or even closer to Paia can be a big improvement, being upwind from the airport is a factor.
