I think this video illustrates that while he is an awesome wave sailor in light winds he really seems to lose a bit when the wind really starts cranking. It looked like most of the time he was just skipping down the wave.

There are plenty of guys in this country that could easily match that level of sailing in those conditions. Severne, Stone, Berry ... are three names that come to mind.

Am I imagining it or did he drop in on that guy right at the beginning of the video... or did the guy drop in on him? Or do normal wave rules not apply in Maui?

I think this also illustrates that you are on some serious mind-bending drugs.
(Unless you are just taking the p1ss??)

I'll admit to one of the red thumbs. nothing personal.

Gotta disagree.
There's plenty of other footage available that proves he kills it in anything.
Very few are better than him (in my opinion).

There's enough footage of Levi Siver around to show that, imo, he is probably the best 'free wave' sailor in the world, the dude has style in spades I reckon. While some of his sections in the Levi Siver show (Windsurfing movie II) were in lighter winds there was some stronger wind stuff in there and he still shreds like a boss.

i am a big fan

unfortunately i dont think that the video posted did anything to flatter levi - it was just dodgy footage that would have been best unsent to youtube

i'm sure levi would prefer that this had never been posted

enjoy ? - no.

loved his section in the windsurfing movie II

hmmmm...no, you seemed to be suggesting that Levi was pretty ordinary in stronger winds.
Nice back-peddling though.

Think you really are on drugs.

But then again if Levi was using your beloved JP/NP gear it would be a different story hey

This guy rips........
