Nice photo of Laza and a heaving barrel take off. What an epic session that was rated as some of my best ever sup sessions.4 to 6 foot.at a New scary location.

What an epic trip again, with a group of ocean slayers.

Good on ya Mick for running around getting things organised food your dingy etc etc etc
Splinter skipper and Ben

The trip over was hell as usual ,but it gets eazyer the more trips over to the islands you do 25knot SE 3m swell at night is a true test .
Everyone seemed to pull up ok the next morning but im sure there will be a few stories of whom spewed and how far and for how long.
I escaped to the rack and rode it out.

Day One light and varriable wind and a small to moderate swell of 2m and a bit .... if you call 8 to 12 foot A frames rolling in small to moderate and you have to for the islands, as this place holds mountains that can be ridden.

Being dropped out the back with Frans and paddeling in to the zone was loose.

The take off was a little varried / shifty between the smaller and bigger sets but Laza / Ozzie AND Frans ,and the AMERICAN fella quickly found the range and sat in the zone taking off on some easy 12 foot plus face drops ideal for SUPPEN and drawing some big turns and long rides.
The dragon swallowed my GO PRO ................SPEWING oh well
This session lasted the whole morning

A light seabreeze 7knts to 12knots did eventuate and the out side section was sailed by the lighter fellas.

The fishing was epic off the boat all day and the spear boys ventured long and far and had a fat time ,

Food feast went off

Overnight was glass and we tucked inside and had flyingfish bomb the boat , flipper chasing them seasnakes squid fish and sharks hang out ALL night keeping everyone entertained

I got up late all were asleep and I tacked a shark for 1 hours before the bust off as usual (good cupa tea but )

Day 2
Where to go was the call ............Forcast Glass varriable wind swinging and that it was,,,,priority .... everyone wanted swell before anything else so a punt was taken on the wind swing from east to Noth west AT 5KNOTS so we steamed for a few hour before arriving at heaving surf location with 6 foot set waves and a choppy light onshore, there was little hesitation and everyone paddled out and hoped for the wind swing and total glass off....... with in couple of hour we had CHARGING PERFECTION at a first time location for me.

Must shout out to Kiter / Surfer KIM whom i had a minor collision with after ****ting myself on an 8 foot take off .

Hope to hear / see all of your highlights and pictures fellas

Epic

Yes - it was a great trip in the end,

better for the supping and fishing this time with not enough wind around for the sailing side of things.

I would be keen for a 5 day trip next time Steffan and i know my partners in crime would be as swell !
