NSWWA is pleased to invite sailors to the last round of competition for the 2009/10 series

Event sponsor Auswind has been generous, thank you.

Thanks also to series sponsors Neil Pryde for their support again this year

We have had a result for every event this season, and with first place still up for grabs in most divisions we are hoping that the conditions turn it on for the event.

We will have the hot Starboard Quad , complete with Severne rig so make sure you are here for what has always been one of the best events of our series.

We will post any event updates here and on the NSWWA site www.nswwavesailing.org

See you there

I'm excited! I get a half day Friday and looking forward to a comp on the home break. I'm pretty rusty after a flat summer but the fronts have been throwing up some waves lately!

That Black/red blade in the pic looks awesome.

I have a test of the Quad demo board and it's really plug and play and super stable at 56cm wide. I would agree with the tests and say that it had more drive and sure footedness in the bottom turn with the manoverability of a twin. Make sure you get a go on it.

See you all on the weekend - BBQ is going to be awesome!

that is a gator, not a blade - does look good

Am trying not to look at the forecast too often - it gets worse every time I check

At least we should still have some swell for when it swings NE and sun comes out

The southerly forecast may have us sailing Windang on sunday.

Keep checking here for updates!!

Yep, looking forward to it. But its hard coming 3.5 hours up the highway, to maybe go 2 more hours down the coast. So if possible, could we get plenty of notice so I know where to go?

Also, I've gota organise a place to crash too, and I'm prolly not alone there. I dont wana drive up to sydney, sail in windang, go back to sydney, then home again. My old cruiser is too tired for that!

So heaps of notice would be very much appreciated, thanks

Tim - Francois, Francois-Tim, who takes the bet for the 1st Amateurs place?! :)
Note that Francois is in poor physical conditions after firing like hell in WA around Xmas... gonna be fun.

C'mon Wanda !!!
As always, your "Mystery" conditions will be graciously accepted.
Even if you eat some of my gear, again, think of it as a sacrifice.
Actually, I'll put my name down to go on the new Starboard/Severne gear !

A couple of us get 45 minutes sailing in a NE on Sunday - nearly could have been awesome.

Event report and series summary posted on the NSW WA shortly - Huey's just checking the correct spelling of Severne!

Sorry to tell you this boys but got 1 hour's very good DTL at Newport Reef today. Great seeing 2 of the top sailors in the country ripping up clean logo high waves in a gusty (4.7m weather) cross off winds. A couple of bomb sets came through and I'm claiming a controlled lip slide in the pocket just in front of the rocks on one of them!

Nice one Tim, surprised newport was ok with wind as in morning had a lot of west.....
could have saved me the drive to windang.... Was great to finally get a day with wind and waves, reminds me why I do this sport.

Loving my little 9'3 JP SUP, surprised how stable yet fun on the waves, had a ride on 9'6 Naish not a huge difference at my level of SUPing, except you can put a sail on it. Have even been able to get over a bit of white water...
Tried in waves with sail caught about 10 waves in a bit over 1/2 hour while the guys got 2-3 on waveboards in 5-12 knots waste high waves. Board feels quite stiff and light (not like old plastic windsurfer one design) unlike some of the other sup boards i have tried with a sail. Was good fun cant wait to try on some of the reefs on northern beaches.

(ps thanks Mike for having us at your house on Saturday)
