Planning a stop at Hawks Nest on my way down the coast next week and looking for some tips on a good spot to wavesail. The open beach looks like it might work if the swell doesn't get too big or am I better off to keep heading south to Terrigal?

For NE I have had some good sails at the Little Gibber , Hawks Nest. 4WD is probably a must as it is a long walk over dunes otherwise. Can be gusty close to the headland.

I've sailed Hawks N ocean beach a few times, X shore in a southerly. Quite a good spot. Never seen anyone else there. Bay side a good back up option.
