Here in the Uk, we have seen some epic surfing going on in the cyclone swell from Alfred, but has there been any windsurfing done? The swell looks like it has been thick and fast moving, but has the wind been too offshore?

haha, that was our version, (i was on the cliff watching) but i wondered if any Qld/nsw sailors got out?

Not sure the cyclone was hard-core enough for most Aussies.

They just played skipping with a snake instead.

Elliott Heads (near Bundaburg) QLD has had good wind for the last two weeks. Once the wind swung northerly, good wavesailing and jumping.

Not much wavesailing at the local beaches as most of the beaches were officially closed... the police can fine you if they are feeling like it.

This was before the wind hit the coastline, there was some big swell This one had a 2m whitewater and a 6m close out ( the non-breaking wave in the foreground, is about 1-1.5m)

I was thinking uphaul, would make my waterstarts better, that's for sure!
