Watched the Australian Surf Movie Festival event at shellharbour last night by Tim Bonython.

It was awesome and I was stoked to see polakow wavesailing at cloudbreak during the show. It's great that the surf community can appreciate our sport and accept it as a type of surfing.

Sure is.. many surfers also windsurf or did at one time or other e.g. Wayne Lynch, Nat Young, Bob McTavish, Gerry Lopez, Buzzy Kerbox, Laird Hamilton and Midget Farrelly... others still do..there is a close connection..

Michael Petersen was on his way to a windsurfing comp at Noosa when he was arrested on the story bridge in Brisbane. That was the end of his surfing, but what a legacy.
