Fiji would be the best. Some of the best wavesailing in the world with there cross off trade winds.

Gnarloo, Fiji and Hawaii would be nice but might lose the interest from the novice/beginners who just want to attend for good waves and a bit of a holiday.
Something that is in everyone's league would be better suited maybe?
West Coast SA is nice and Central for everybody.

I guess the argument for a place like Fiji would that it makes it equally fair for all competitors as everyone has to fly there...

... that said, what about that spot up North West WA? Perhaps not the best place for groms or amateurs but certainly would see some good action and would get good media coverage. Plus at the right time of the year you are almost guaranteed waves.

I think the the problem at hand is that Australia is spoilt with options. Just spare a thought for the poor folks from the Austrian Wave Sailing Association. Not a great deal of wave spots within 1,500km for them.

Still don't understand the idea of two open divisions at a national titles.

Pro's and Amateurs all good at state level to encourage participants but opens is open. If you think you are good enough to go in a national titles then step up to the all in open division.

Should just have it at Gerroa again its been at least 6 months since the last one was there.

I am pretty sure we have covered this before mate... it's the Australian titles.. as in, held in Australia!

Has anything actually been talked about? Troppo you have way to much time on your hands why don't you run it over west? Sorted then!

I am keen but I would need a bit of help to get it all together. Last time I looked into it the NSWWA calendar basically clashed with every potential opportunity over Feb.

The first fortnight of February is vacant for 2014 on the NSWWA calendar. nswwavesailing.org/calendar/
And the VWS and WWA calendars are not up yet.

Ian just looks forward to his yearly post about the nationals he's never going to go attend. Unless of course its at MArgs.

Phillip Island would be pretty cool I reckon. One of the best waves I've had the pleasure of.

and sounds like I'm off the hook. nice work al.
