Hi All,
My wife and I will come to melbourne for a year from Jan 09.
We come from Belgium and France, and we do windsurfing and surfing as often as we can.
As we won't have the possibility to bring our windsurfing material with us in Australia, we were wondering if there may be windsurfing clubs near melbourne were we could become member or rent material for a year ?
Thanks

I am not so sure about clubs etc but you could always contact RPS in Elwood or SHQ in Sandringham. These are the main windsurf stores in Melbourne and may be able to help you out with hire gear.
Do you know where in Melbourne you will be staying?

Unfortunately I don't think there are any clubs of the type you seek. You may be able to do a deal with one of the shops mentioned above but the best option would probably be to pick up some nice second hand gear for the duration of your stay. Try to 'Buy and Sell' section of this forum for a start. The shops also carry some used gear. Often you can pick of some good gear through personal contacts at local events around the 'Bay'. Elwood Sailing club on the Elwood foreshore seems to have quite a few windsurfing members and may be a good place to make contact.
