Not sure whether it's worth going. could be on the water in 20 minutes but it could be gone in 21

any ideas?

Looks like it hasn't. < 20 knots all round the bay, I don't think it will get any better with all this rain either.

it has gone already.

Just as an aside, does anyone look at the strength vs the maximum gust?

As a guess, if it's a squall, then the speed of the gust is the speed of the wind whereas if it has just increased, then you'd expect a gust on top of the strength

I was this close (holds thumb and forefinger a bees dicks apart) from throwing on the wetty and heading out. I had such a terrible sailing afternoon yesterday I decided I couldn't go through the slog again. Did some grocery shopping instead.

..and thank goodness. Seems it was a flop.

You all missed out!

I was on a 5.3m Carve 99 and having a ball at Pt Danger.
Bit of a swell and high tide.

Others were there on smaller.
Sailed from 5:30pm - 8pm

Beautiful and unexpected.
