Looks like the wind has started... this week is looking just a bit brutal.
this thred has ended the no wind jinx for sure.sailed and kited total 5 times in july..4 more times than june

There was a nice baywave at selected spots with the northerly on sat...

When do you choose a kite over a sail?
when there are no waves or crosshore wind in the ocean but enough wind to kick up a 1-2 foot baywave in portphillip bay i will hit it up
and if its tricky and gusty and its just not happening for me on the windsurfer.usually due to wrong size sail or poor rigging.ill put the stick&pole back in the cue rack and get the tea bag out for some redemption.
i only lernt to kite because you can still surf a wave when direct onshore or cross onshore where as on a windsurfer that is not worth it..unless you like jumps,slalom or freestyle.
