I'm going down to Invy with the family, so might see if there's some wave action possible near the mouth of the inlet. The directions probably not ideal but at least there'll be plenty of wind!
We'll, first time I've wave sailed in the mouth of the inlet, and it was an experience.
The sandbanks meant that the direction was pretty decent - cross on - and once through the white water I was powered up on a 4.5.
I didn't realise that there was a deep channel running across the beach between two sets of sandbanks. Got out the back through the first impact zone and, surprise! Another impact zone and even bigger peaks!
I think I maybe caught two waves on the way in in a 90 minute session, and spent the rest of the time in the wash! By the end of it, though, I had managed to work out the best way to get out and got some pretty clean runs. Even managed a couple jumps on my weaker starboard tack.
Great to experience a new part of Inverloch windsurfing!
