hey guys, just wondering how the good people jump on waves, eg what techniques, feet in straps, pump the sail? . im also assuming you need speed but how much speed generally? is there anything else im missing?
Balls are always handy- if you are on the plane you will get a good jump of the wave. The biggest thing is to have the air control with your body, sail and footstraps.
Have a read of Jem Hall instructions- he is a bit of self professed guru on technique.
Master the chop hop and then in waves its just all about timing- not releasing too early or too late.

Jem Hall has a great wave DVD called wavesailor to winner- would highly recommend. defiantely the best $40-50 you will spend if you are looking at getting into the waves. It'll even save its self in teaching you to avoid repairs. Good luck
