Plenty of wind at Falkner beacon all day today all from the North. But when I was at Rosebud (12:30 till 2:30) more like 10-12 knots of North West? How does that work?

I've been at Rye at 12 kts whilst the wind at FB was over 30 kts. It's just Rye: you pays your money and you takes your chances.
I'll be happy to give you my thoughts on why this happens the next time I see you there.
Gentleman at GP this arvo, 5.3m sail, about 100 litre board, planing about 80% of the time.

Yep, can't think of anything worse.
However, those who could have been bothered to don a wetty would have had a nice sail this avo in Westernport. 1 solitary kiter enjoying it.
