Where is every one windsurfing this weekend?

Myself: I'm out due to foot infection, but I might be tempted with this much wind forecast.

Refer to BOM forecast below for Port Philip Bay.
Forecast issued at 5:18 am EST on Friday 11 May 2012.

Saturday 12 May
Winds Westerly 15 to 20 knots increasing to 20 to 25 knots around dawn then increasing to 20 to 30 knots around midday. Seas 1 to 1.5 metres increasing to 2 metres around midday.

Sunday 13 May
Winds West to southwesterly 25 to 30 knots tending southwesterly during then tending south to southwesterly and easing to 20 to 25 knots during the evening. Seas 1 to 2 metres.

Please note; these are not Windsurfing Victoria Inc organised event and this post is to be used as information only. The intent of this post is for windsurfers to post where they could be going to windsurf this weekend and for other windsurfers to possible come and join them.

Plus steaming hot tea in a thermos and some bacon on the portable gas stove : )

Be there or be square.

Heading to Ricketts on Saturday but I will have to work around Mothers' Day on Sunday. Hate the way they organize Mothers' Day on a windy day.

Went to Safety Beach around lunch time on Saturday. Got there, rigged up and found I had left my wetsuit at home. A few offers from others to lend me a suit which was great and much appreciated. Took up Bondy's offer as he seems about my size and wouldnt take no for an answer. In the end I rigged too small, a 5.2 - 5.5m would have been ideal I think. Was good fun in the gusts though.

What did you break Kurt?

The nose on Jez's board

His rig didn't look right, so gave it a go to see what needed to be changed......harness lines were far back.... as soon as I got into the straps and hooked in I was launched straight over....

He was good about it though..... sorry Jez

Dude, I told you not to worry about it, I feel horrible about you repairing it off you own back especially since you were helping me out at the time.

I think I may need to break the nose of your board and get it repaired to return the favour. :P
